The Pacific Highway (A1/M1) is the major highway accessing Grafton and the Clarence Valley, linking Sydney and Brisbane along the east coast of Australia. Grafton is about 3 hours south of Brisbane and 7 hours from Sydney CBD.

Qantas, Jet Star and Virgin Blue have daily flights into Ballina/Byron Airport and Coffs Harbour Airport. Yamba is just over an hour’s drive south of Ballina and Grafton is 50 minutes north of Coffs Harbour.


You can use NSW Trainlink services from Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Byron Bay and Moree to travel to Grafton. The station is in South Grafton, pretty close to Grafton’s famous bendy bridge.

It’s pretty easy to get around by foot in Grafton. No steep hills, not too much traffic, and, what a way to soak up nature’s purple beauty, walking underneath the Jacarandas, seeing them from afar and approaching one step at a time …

Bring your bike! Cycling is a very pleasant in Grafton, there are wide streets and some dedicated bike paths. If you can’t bring your own, hire a bike from Grafton City Cycles.
