HOW TO GET TO GRAFTON

Drive

The Pacific Highway (A1/M1) is the major highway accessing Grafton and the Clarence Valley, linking Sydney and Brisbane along the east coast of Australia. Grafton is about 3 hours south of Brisbane and 7 hours from Sydney CBD.

Fly

What’s the quickest way to get to Grafton? Fly direct! Get onboard one of the direct flights which operate daily between Grafton and Sydney and we’ll have you surrounded by the purple haze of Jacaranda’s in no time. Airport transfers, taxis and hire cars are available for your short drive to the historic City nestled on the majestic Clarence River. Check out the flight schedule at REX Airlines website here.
Qantas, Jet Star and Virgin Blue have daily flights into Ballina/Byron Airport and Coffs Harbour Airport. Yamba is just over an hour’s drive south of Ballina and Grafton is 50 minutes north of Coffs Harbour.

Train

You can use NSW Trainlink services from Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Byron Bay and Moree to travel to Grafton. The station is in South Grafton, pretty close to Grafton’s famous bendy bridge.

Bus/Coach

HOW TO GET AROUND

It’s pretty easy to get around by foot in Grafton. No steep hills, not too much traffic, and, what a way to soak up nature’s purple beauty, walking underneath the Jacarandas, seeing them from afar and approaching one step at a time …

Bring your bike! Cycling is a very pleasant in Grafton, there are wide streets and some dedicated bike paths. If you can’t bring your own, hire a bike from Grafton City Cycles.
